Some people see their life as a marathon where they just have to keep going, others see it as a mountain that they need to climb, still others see it as a stream where they can try to swim against the current or just go with the flow. I see my life as a series of adventures, the end point is fixed and getting there is why we're here.
I've always kept a journal however it has only been recently that I discovered the world of blogging and started to record my adventures using this medium. Here are some of my previous adventures:
- My MBA diaries - track my journey to getting a Masters in Business from Said Business School, University of Oxford
- Gone fishing - this blog takes you through the time that I quit my job and went traveling for a while through Singapore, Malaysia and Australia.
The MBA is coming to an end now and I've been wondering for some time what my next adventure would be. Just going back to work after such an amazing year would be such a let down, though I probably need some time out to relax and recuperate... Nah!
For my next adventure I've decided to move from the UK which has been my home of 8 years to the beautiful Scandinavian country of Sweden and the city of Stockholm in particular. Why Stockholm in particular I can hear you asking? Well, why not? It's a very beautiful city, the natives are friendly, everyone speaks English and they have a national crayfish party every year - how can you beat that? And there's a guy...
The great thing about an adventure is that you don't know how it will unfold, you just have to throw yourself into it with everything you have and see what happens. This will be the record of my Swedish adventure.
